A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art
Description All the weird vintage ads, products, and photos anyone can handle!
Moderator: Ellene Meece
I approved this group, because Ellene Meece has been a member for a long time and is always creative, tasteful and sane!
Words of Caution: This is a fun group. You are allowed to publish "weird" vintage but it must meet the guidelines and terms of our site http://iantiqueonline.ning.com/page/terms-of-use-1
Suggestions for "weird" might include old advertising that made silly or odd claims....."Drink Prune Juice and grow a full beard in thirty days" or
a kitchen tool that seems odd....or a mini tweezer designed to pick up carpenter ants at a picnic. Let's keep this group on the lighter side.
Anyone who tests the limits in a offensive or rule breaking way will be banned immediately. So think carefully about what you post. This must be VINTAGE and or ANTIQUE. Do not post any death or medical related gruesome stuff. Content which is offensive is not allowed. YOU WILL BE BANNED.
This could be an interesting and or fun group exploring the outrageous, humorous, odd, bizarre, fantastic, uncanny, unique, preposterous VINTAGE items of our culture. If you can tell us more about the image offering some history, facts, information, that will be helpful.
I challenge you to post in this group this week. I will be looking for some wonderful posts (articles, forums, photos) and will offer feature status to the
most creative, energized and clever members.
Ideas to Consider:
Vintage signs that are odd, silly, strange
Antiques that combined something practical with something odd.
Something that is outdated but made sense years ago
A unique collectible that was made with an error.
Funny vintage advertising.
ETC.
Your challenge begins
