This sounds like it will be interesting. Once in awhile I come accross something that today would indeed be considered...odd! I have always liked the many early electrical devices and the absurd claims made by the makers. From the early 1900s I think on through the late 20s many odd electrical devices were made that clipped on various body parts and gave you sometimes large amounts of electricity with the claim that this (device) will cure all that ails you and even improve brain power!. One such device looked like an electric chair in sighn sighn. You actualy sat in this chair and hooked up various wires to your wrists and forehead, LOL!

I also like the early X-ray devices that at one time many claimed to be a cure all. One of these devices even made its way into the shoe industry. You would put your foot into this device and be able to not only kmnow your shoe size, but also see the bones in your foot. After a short time of many being bombarded by high levels of X ray radiation the obviouse relsults of the many folk with radiation sickness was a no brainer!

Actually some of those old machines worked quite well. They were used by Naturopathic Physicians who knew and understood medical problems. Most of them were banned by law thanks to the AMA. Today if you can find one they are worth a lot of money.

I had a medical condition which affected the muscles in my arm. I went to an Internist, MD, who explained my "rare" illness, treatment, cost ($30-35,000) and prognosis, "unknown".

I went to a Naturopath who hooked me up to the machine and tested various things. He then wrote out a list of herbs and vitamins.  2 weeks later I was cured.  Cost was around $75. That was in the early 1990s and I've never had a recurrence.

Understand that medical doctors don't get paid to make you well.  They get paid to keep you sick.

What you say is SO true. They do indeed not want to cure you and try thier best to either regulate or dismiss herbal medicine. They do have a reather..alrming appearance to them how ever..LOL. I had hesart burn for several years and always had to take prescriptiuons for it until a friend went to the heallth food store and for two weeks I took what she gave me and it never returned.
