I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

Hello! Posted this in the "Whadja Find Today" group yesterday. Was hoping perhaps one or more members of this group would be more knowledgeable of such a thing. A factory produced christmas tree made from parasols of varying size. Each parasol is screenprinted with garland, ornamentsand are made from either acetate or rayon. Each parasol stacks and connects rod to rod and sit atop a round metal base. Someone suggested this was used as a christmas window display, perhaps in a department store, late 40s early 50s. If anyone has any other info I'd greatly appreciate the help. Thanks!

PS Parasols appear somewhat brown in these photos, they have more of a traditional green christmas tree look to the naked eye.

Hey, Brian! I know you posted this several months ago but did you ever find out anything about your Parasol Christmas Tree? It does look 50's to me too.

Adorable.
