I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

Hello I did some work for an elderly lady and she gave me these interesting items. She had no idea what they originally were but she said her husband worked for the railroad and most of the unusual items he had were from the railroad. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate them. I believe the metal bases were made by him but the cone shaped items appear to be cast-iron and very old. Thanks!

They almost look like finials of some sort?  For the fence and possibly for the roof or chimney?
