I bought this painting at a flea market, I need to know what is the technique used. No faces and the texture looks like little strings are applied throughout. Thanks.

There are no "Strings" in your painting. This looks like an "impasto" technique. It's basically done with a palette knife. The no faces, is part of that artist take on this subject, which looks like a Horse Derby Race.

There is a painting ID group on Facebook that is very helpful. But be sure to include any writing on the painting, what it's painted on, and a photo of the back. The lighting could be a bit better as well, it's hard to see the design in these photos. Just put it outside, in natural light, and take a series of photo's with your phone, then post them into the FB group. That's the best way to get an answer, without hiring an art appraiser.

The Facebook group has not been helpful, the strings don't show up with my digital camera. I will photograph with my phone. Thanks for your assistance.
