I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

I bought this new in the 70’s I refound it while going through some boxes. I can’t seem to find anything about it there’s lots of info on Sony. I did look on wiki but not much mention of these players. It even has a talk line which was pretty cool in the day. It has a metal case with a plastic cover. Hopefully the pictures will give anyone the information they need. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll let you research this site and I'm certain you could contact them and your item might be on their list:  https://www.radiomuseum.org/m/orion_j_en_1.html.  I still have a similar small cassette player that I used to carry on my belt and I'd attach headphones and listen to music.  I'm certain that mine still works but I've not used it for many years.

Thankyou I will check it out. Much appreciated

Orion Electric Ltd, Japan is currently in business. I could not get a link (address) as their website is written in Japanese. When English is selected it loops you back to the start.

Wikipedia has a lot of info about Orion but nada re your player.  It indicates that it was originally sold at Wal-mart.

Hi Thankyou for trying, I live in the UK can’t remember where I bought it, well it was many many years ago
