I found this really neat wood beer stein at a sale. I cannot find anything like it - even searching over 10 pages of images on Google. It's about 10" high, has a label on the bottom (which brought up nothing in searches either) of what I think is the manufacturer. I do know from the previous owners at the gs that Bucuresti is Bucharest (Hungary). The stein is carved and (I think) painted, the main character is a lady with a water jug.

It doesn't look to be used as a beer stein - I think only for decoration.

Does anyone know when this is from, or have any info, or can point me in some sort of direction?

Hi, here's a link to a discussion we had a few months ago about another wood beer stein. http://iantiqueonline.ning.com/main/search/search?q=wood+beer+stein
Hope this helps answer your questions.

Thank you for replying. I did find something kind of similar (no lids) on eBay but not at the value (less than $10/each) I was hoping.
