Need help identifying this shade

Is this shade for an electric or oil lamp?  It has a 2 1/4" fitter.

2 1/4 inches is an electric shade measurement. Must have been a pretty fancy fixture. It does not look like an American shade to me

I don't think it is for an oil lamp. It could have been for either a gas or electric fixture. Later gas fixtures were made to accept 2/14/" fitters.
