I'm going through some of my grandparent's antique collection and I'm having trouble identifying an item. They look like small tongs, but I can't find any related images or what their particular use might be. If anyone is able to assist, that would be great! I've attached a few images.

I found these, but the round ends come together instead of facing the opposite way from each other.  Farrier tool or blacksmith tool, but for what I still don't know.
