I have a petite black onyx Frankoma piece that I'm calling a little vase. I'm quite familiar with other pottery patterns by this wonderful company from Oklahoma but I don't know much about this glossy black finish. Can anyone give me some history?

I'm inserting a couple of images here but they are not very clear. At least they can display the color.

The bottom reads Frankoma with the number 32.

Ellene a similar vase recently sold, price is shielded. Other similar ones for sale range from 19.99 to 29.99. Here is a link to your vase: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/frankoma-502-mini-vase-onyx-b...

Thank you, Tom! This link you provided gave me some additional information too - like the type of clay used in this one and the exact years it was produced (1950-1951). Thanks again!

I don't have any info for you but it is a lovely little piece. I have a few pieces of Frankoma and my personal favorite is the yellow glaze! Hope all is well...

Hi LuAnn!

I was happy to see your comment here! I've actually been browsing your blog this week and 'borrowed' some images to show how vintage over-used aprons could be re-purposed. I'm doing a craft show first week in November here in my little town, selling my antiques and collectibles - and created a little card to put with my set of vintage fabric aprons that I'm selling. I have your name and tag line in the description. I also plan to make pictures of the show and then blog about it and link to your site. I've never expanded my sewing skills so you are way impressive in my eyes! :)

Ah, thanks so much. We are getting slammed with snow here in Fort Collins. How about you?

Lots of snow today - about 12 inches - and more on the way! I work full time at the Meeker Chamber of Commerce but I had already decided to work in my home office today. Great day for that!!
