I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

I have a few of these dishes. They were my husband's great aunt's bought for her shoreline cottage in 1938 or a little later.

Does anyone know the maker? I once knew but I've lost the info.  Thanks for any suggestions.  Margo

I don't think that is glass - looks like pottery?

It is pottery, but depression. Just thought someone might lead me in the right direction :)
My mom had some dishes like this. She called them "petalware." I can't swear that's the correct designation, though.
Thanks, I'll try googling petalware....
Petalware is Depression Glass and doesn't look anything like your bowl.  I call this unmarked stuff, "of the era".  It's from the 1920-40s. Not "depression glass" but was put out during the depression.  I have several pieces. Your bowl is worth around $40-60. Cobalt blue is my favorite color.
