Could you take a closer closeup, sharp focus photo of the mark itself, preferably without the bright backlighting which is causing the foreground of the image with the mark to darken.

I assume you're using a cellphone, not a camera.  If a camera, use  the Macro setting (flower icon). Turn off flash--use OH or natural lighting.

W or M? or Z or cursive L?  Try different angles.  5-sided object in your pic isn't upright.

Maybe you  have other pieces of set, sugar, creamer, cups, saucers...same or different mark?

You should be posting Images, not Links.  Use the 2nd icon, light blue square which is to the right of the LINK icon.

thankyou for your advice computers I'm afraid really not my thing.it was left to me by a polish lady was a wedding present 63 years ago that is  all I know of it Dee
