Wild decoration on 1920's american vase

Here's another piece I have that I don't know where to start with. Small mouth vase about 4-1/2 inches tall and 4-1/2 inches in diameter. Although numbers on pieces are rarely dates, I have the feeling this one actually may be accurate to the year 1922. The crazing and worn gilding on the top lead me to believe it has about that much age to it.What blows me away is the decoration.
