"If you zoom in and look at the two little drawers upper right side (has flash in pic) you can see 4 tiny nail holes where a metal name plate used to be situated.  Each drawer has them.  The plate may also have had a different pull. …"

"Regarding old pianos and maybe organs too, the wood dries out and then breaks which causes the piano wires to collapse. Can't be repaired feasibly. I saw an old square Steinway that came around the Horn in the 1850s. Not worth much anymore.…"

"Tin was used where food was cooked, prepared or stored.  My feeling is that the cane is new (looks new) and that it probably replaced a different one, that might have been pierced metal. I'm just shootin in the dark."

"WOW! That one is gorgeous as well! Appears to also have a diamond? I think that is rose gold or a combination of Rose and Yellow gold, which may be why you have both markings. The 18K is very soft, and really not suitable for a durable ring, so…"
