"My dad was a miner; grew up around stinky carbide lamps. Water in 1 receptacle, carbide in the other. Carbide ignites and burns when flint is sparked. No chemicals needed. Their use predates white gas (unleaded gasoline) which predates batteries."

Hollow Lead Blimp Toy?

Hoping this is an easy one for someone, but its stumped me.  It appears to be hollow lead, there are two holes in the bottom and a hole in the back.  They are large holes, which makes me think it attached to something else, but not sure.   Its approx 2.5" long or so.  See More
