Found primitive-looking Japanese paper-wrapped jug with stopper

The jug contains what I think is a small bit of raw tea leaf. It is 12 5/8 inches tall by 6 1/2 inches wide at the widest part. The stopper is gold-painted wood wrapped in paper.A part of a label still exists on it. I don't see markings anywhere.See More
