"Without knowing the diameters it is difficult to say exactly what they're from. "Shades" and "Globes" are synonymous with each other."

"Thank you Tom.  Luckily I didn't buy this :) I really appreciate the link.  I wanted to know how old it is.  I'm not a buyer or seller but I've always liked antiques and I want to learn about them. Maybe someday I can…"

Jeremy Woodoff replied to Scott OMeara's discussion Glass Lamp Shade - Hurrican Shades in the group Whadja Find Today
"I would not call them globes from bathroom lights. They are typical of shades used on early electric and gas fixtures, 1890-1920. Some may be identical copies, even if not old themselves (can't tell age from the photos), but they're all in…"

"Looks like a florists vase; probably held some Halloween or autumn flowers. Low grade milk glass.  Minimal value, 25 cents in a garage sale; but they don't sell. NOTE: I always look at these vases in Garage Sales. Occasionally you can find…"

"First of all it's not a vase; vases don't have lids.  Looks like a Decanter, but is missing its tumblers. Or is it an Urn for cremation ashes? Collectors and resellers don't buy chipped, nor should you.  Waste of money. I…"

Garfield the Movie lunch box

I got this as a give away about 10 years ago in England. It is clearly a tie in to Garfield the Movie but a search of Ebay and other places does not turn up anything like it, so I am unsure of anything else about it. I am perplexed why it is not turning up on any searches anywhere. It is metal, and I do not know if there is a thermos since it is in the original wrapper never opened - but I suspect there is no thermos based on weight! Has anyone else ever seen anything like it? Thanks!See More
