tomsantiquesetcetera replied to Charles Sabo's discussion Id depression glass in the group Whadja Find Today
"Charles, your two pieces were made by Fenton, green and yellow. They are not Depression Glass. Fenton used a high quality glass whereas DG is a low glass type of glass used during the Depression years 1929-1947."

Plant Stand

I cleaned off this plant stand that was in an upstairs room for decades. I wanted to know if it has a particular style name. It is solid and not wobbly, but has some moisture damage to the top. 34" tall and the top is 12.5" square. Any idea of the value?…See More

CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THIS?

Can anyone help me with identifying the maker and original purpose of this piece or give me a link to a place I might find out more about it?It measures approximately 16 x 12 inches. It's quite flat and fairly heavy for its size. Someone appears to have put a 'coating' of something on the base. No idea what or why. The only marking on the base is what appears to be a letter 'D'.See More
