Please Help Identifying These WW2 Leather Boots

Hi there ! Okay, so the gentleman that owned these boots was in the US Army during WW2, he was an officer. He served in both the ETO and the Philippines. These boots belonged to him, however I don't see where they match up to any boots wore by US Army officers during WW2. When I Google, they look more like Japanese cavalry or riding boots (WW2) or German field boots (also WW2) of some sort. "If a price is in green, the item sold.  If the price is in black, the listing ended before it found a buyer.  When it's green with a score through it, someone made an offer and it sold at a different price from list. "

"They were easy to sell at modest prices.  I just ran a quick completed items search on ebay and sales there are consistent with our experience.Keeping in mind a British Pound costs $1.56 US, they're running $20 to $60 framed. …"
