vicki hufstetler replied to David Lewis's discussion Help with identifying and hopefully value on Pitcher !! in the group GLASS HOUND HEAVEN: Antique and Collectible Glassware
"It's Lovely David! I'm assuming we have no markings or signatures right? It is again, difficult to date this type of glass. Mainly because it is a style of "Art Glass" that was made in the USA and in Europe in the late 19th and…"

vicki hufstetler replied to Mark's discussion Mystery Metal Object from Peru, 1820 in the group Whadja Find Today
"The British and the UK in general did NOT use metric units until the "Weights and Measures" act of 1824. They did use Imperial Units before then. So, if this item is from 1820, that "metric" system of measurement would not have…"

tomsantiquesetcetera replied to Ginger Kramp's discussion wicker rocker id ? and value in the group Whadja Find Today

tomsantiquesetcetera replied to Cathy Linn's discussion What's it with wick & filament in small case in the group Whadja Find Today
"Can't tell from your pics but kind of looks like it could be a hand warmer for one's pocket. The wick as you call it would absorb lighter fluid which slowly burns creating heat.  I had one,  different shape, in the mid 1950s."
