This heavy wooden pot is 4" high with an outer diameter of 4¼" and inner diameter of 2¾. It has 4 holes in the bottom, and must have been carved from a sapling as there is bark all around it.…See More

Bronze champleve tray with fanciful horse & tree(tree of life?)

The tray is 11.5" & 0.5" deep. During my research I came across an old description of a horse & this crazy looking thing fit it! The tree & leaves seem familiar even the horse! They remind me of old tapestries. What I'm looking for is, what culture this comes from & is their a name for this type of rendering of an animal?  What about the tree & leaves? Is there a specific name for it? There is four colors of enameling Red, Blue,Green & black. Thanks for the help!…See More

"Stones look like garnet. I think they are also "rose cut" which is an old way of cutting stones. Maybe someone else can confirm that."

"Lightning rod balls have 2 holes for the rod to go thru, or completely solid and sit inside a metal framework. That was my very first thought when I got it."
